DREAMHACK AND PANTAMERA PARTNER UP FOR ANNUAL CHARITY EVENT
“PANTAMERA MED ESPORTEN” TO BE A PART OF DREAMHACK SUMMER AND DREAMHACK WINTER
MAY 2, 2019
DreamHack, the premier gaming and digital lifestyle festival, and Pantamera, the successful brand of privately-owned Swedish recycling company Returpack, will join forces for the 2019 edition of “Pantamera med esporten”, a yearly initiative collecting money from recycled cans and bottles for the charity event Musikhjälpen. Musikhjälpen is organized by Swedish public TV and radio.
This years campaign starts today and will run all through the official Musikhjälpen event held in December. During this time, “Pantamera med esporten” will be present at both DreamHack Summer and DreamHack Winter in Jönköping, Sweden. The latter will host the Pantamera and Universal Music CS:GO event “Musikgibbet”, featuring some of Sweden’s most popular influencers from the gaming and music scene.
As part of the partnership, DreamHack will donate all of the money collected from recycling cans and bottles during the two events. In addition, DreamHack will also donate exclusive VIP tickets that everyone donating their recycling money to this year’s “Pantamera med esporten” have the chance to win. The tickets include travel, accommodation, festival pass, meet and greet, guided “behind the scenes” tour, and BYOC Premium tickets.
“Crazy commitment last year! We received donations from both companies and private individuals across the country. With an increased presence at DreamHack this year our hope is to make the initiative even more accessible to the campaign’s core audience – young guys and girls who are very good at consuming drinks, but perhaps not always as good at recycling,” said Lovisa Lannerstedt, project manager at Pantamera.
“We are very proud to play a part in “Pantamera med esporten” and to be able to contribute to the “Musikhjälpen” charity,” said DreamHack CEO Marcus Lindmark. “Our belief is that DreamHack attendees will appreciate the engagement as they now can do good both for the environment and for people in need.”
YZN AND SAMPEV2 NAMED PANTAMERA AMBASSADORS
Last years campaign was driven by several esports influencers from all over the scene. This time, Pantamera has chosen Yacine “yzn” Laghamri and Samuel “SampeV2” Stronegger as ambassadors for “Pantamera med esporten” 2019. The ambassadors have made a joint video, featured on the campaign site, in which they explain to the esports scene that they can make a difference and that this is a perfect opportunity to make a do good.
“I think that this is the ultimate engagement. Firstly, we recycle, which is good for the environment. Secondly, we donate money to Musikhjälpen, which is good for people. Third, we show Sweden the strength of esports, which is good for us. Fourth, we make an effort, good for you,” said Yacin “yzn” Laghmari.
MUSIKGIBBET AT DREAMHACK WINTER
The campaign starts today and culminates at DreamHack Winter where Pantamera, in partnership with Universal Music, will invite artists and esports profiles to compete in “Musikgibbet”. The winners of this CS:GO tournament gets the honor to donate the prize money, which last year exceeded 500,000 SEK, to the “Pantamera med esporten” campaign.
